The mission of the 21st and 335th Judicial District Adult Probation is:

• To enhance the public safety by enforcing the orders of the court related to adult offenders and to provide the Court with a continuum of progressive sanctions which provide effective risk control management for offenders.
• To assist offenders in making pro-social changes in their behavior by providing a variety of evidence based programs and services designed to reduce the impact of crime in Bastrop, Burleson, Lee and Washington Counties. It is the prevailing practice of community corrections to provide the most appropriate response to each offender. The use of evidence based practices for developing the most appropriate and effective response or sanction will be implemented to ensure treatment and supervision needs are met and also address the components of rehabilitation, incapacitation, deterrence and retribution (punishment). This is the most effective method to assure the public safety and reduce recidivism.
